Silva hoping Willian is fit for Brighton game

Fulham boss Marco Silva is hopeful the in-form Willian will be fit to face Brighton on Saturday.

Wilian limped off against Nottingham Forest last Saturday after scoring in the 2-0 win at Craven Cottage.

He will be assessed on Friday to see if he is fit to make the trip to the south coast.

The former Chelsea winger, who turns 35 in August, has been outstanding for the Whites after returning to London following a difficult year in Brazil playing for Corinthians.

“We have one more day to prepare for the game so we will see as there are a couple of players who have knocks,” Silva said.

“At this moment Tom Cairney and Neeskens Kebano are the only players unavailable.

“Willian is a top player, top professional. You can see every match day in how he is playing and influencing games, we as staff and teammates have the privilege to see it every day.

“He prepares so well and his so humble and open to learn.”
