Schwarzer confirms he is set to leave
Mark Schwarzer has told Australian media that he will be leaving Fulham.
The veteran goalkeeper’s contract expires this summer and he has not agreed a new deal.
And Fulham’s signing of Dutch international Maarten Stekelenburg from Roma is another indication that Schwarzer, 40, has reached the end of the line at Craven Cottage.
But the Australia international, who joined the Whites from Middlesbrough in 2008, will look to stay in England.
“I’ll be looking for another club. Nothing has been sorted at the moment,” he is quoted as saying.
“My family’s settled and the kids are in school. I’ll try and stay in Europe for as long as possible and England would be ideal.”
