QPR have completed the signing of defender Aaron Hughes from Fulham.
The 34-year-old Northern Ireland international, who made more than 250 appearances for the Whites, has signed a contract at Loftus Road for the rest of the season.
Rangers made their pre-deadline move for him following the recent news that Danny Simpson is likely to be out for some time with a back problem.
Hughes, signed by Fulham from Aston Villa in June 2007, can play at right-back or in the centre of defence.
“It’s an excellent signing for us,” Rangers boss Harry Redknapp.
“I’ve always liked him. He’s a good player and a good professional and we’ve needed someone at the back.”
