QPR have agreed a fee with Fulham for striker Matt Smith.
Rangers are looking at potential options after failing to agree fee with Rotherham for Danny Ward.
Smith, 27, has been unable to establish himself as a first-team regular since joining Fulham from Leeds United in 2014.
He has made 53 appearances for the Whites, 33 of them as a substitute, and has scored nine goals.
Smith scored 11 goals in 20 appearances during a loan spell at Bristol City the season before last.
