No approach from Fulham for Exeter boss, says chairman
Exeter City have insisted they have not received an approach from Fulham for manager Paul Tisdale – but would not stand in his way if the Championship side came calling.
The Whites are searching for a replacement for the sacked Kit Symons, with Nigel Pearson and Uwe Rosler among the names on the shortlist.
Reports have claimed Tisdale, 42, is also under consideration but Grecians chairman Julian Tagg told the Exeter Express & Echo there had been no contact from Fulham.
He said: “We are not surprised he has been linked with the job.
“Paul continues to develop players and improve our club on a daily basis and it is always a worry when a job comes up, because inevitably and unsurprisingly he is always likely to be in the frame.”
“We have never stood in anybody’s way. That has been the same whether it is the manager, players or members of staff that have moved on.
“We are about people being able to come into our club and improve on what they do and how they do it and improve us on the way.
“Inevitably the price of that is that others will be interested. We have to take that as a compliment.”
