McCormack dismisses talk of Fulham exit

Ross McCormack has insisted he has no desire to leave Fulham.

There has been speculation that the 28-year-old, signed from Leeds in the summer, could be the subject of interest from other clubs when the transfer window opens next month.

Manager Kit Symons has said the club are not interested in selling the Scotland international.

And McCormack said: “The manager has not even said anything to me about the reports, so that shows you how much truth there is in them.

“Newspaper speculation is the world we are living in. I have read it and a few of the lads have been having a bit of banter about it.

“I’m happy here. Fulham paid a nice bit of money to bring me here and I’m just looking to repay them by giving good performances.”

McCormack’s first-half free-kick set his side on the way to a 4-0 thrashing of Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday that lifted the Whites up to 13th in the Championship.

“I’ve been in this league seven or eight years now and I know that if you keep winning your home games and pick up points away you’re going to go far,” he said.

“There’s no talk within the squad of making the play-offs or the top two. It’s just a case of taking each game as they come and see where that takes us. We’re moving in the right direction.”
