Late Burn goal earns draw for Fulham

Rotherham 3-3 Fulham

Fulham continued their impressive resurgence under Kit Symons as Dan Burn’s last-gasp header earned a point in a six-goal thriller.

The Whites came from behind three times against Rotherham, Ross McCormack’s penalty cancelling out Alex Revell’s opener and Cauley Woodrow’s fierce strike making it 2-2 after an acrobatic effort from Johnson Clarke-Harris.

A late deflected Ben Pringle shot that went in via Nikolay Bodurov seemed to have secured victory for the Millers but Burn headed home McCormack’s corner to salvage a draw.

The result means Fulham remain in the Championship relegation zone but are now level on points with managerless Birmingham, who lost to Blackburn Rovers.

Fulham have now won three and drawn one of their five games under caretaker boss Symons.

But they could easily have been celebrating another victory, with two of Rotherham’s goals slightly fortunate.

The opening goal saw Paul Taylor’s strike deflected in off Revell, but McCormack levelled from the spot after George Williams was felled by Lee Frecklington.

Clarke-Harris made it 2-1 from close range in the second half, only for Woodrow’s classy strike to restore parity once again.

And although another deflected shot seemed to have finally ended Fulham’s hopes, Burn snatched a point two seconds from the end.
