Fulham manager Martin Jol says he would jump at the chance to take Emmanuel Frimpong on loan again next season.
The Arsenal midfielder, 21, joined the Whites in January and has made only one appearance for them so far.
But he impressed in the recent 0-0 draw with Norwich and Jol is a long-term admirer of the Gunners youngster.
“He is getting better and better and he is now fully fit. He can play from the start if I want and he did well against Norwich,” said Jol.
“I have been impressed with Frimpong since the start – since I saw him play for Arsenal two years ago.
“He is the type of player you would like as a midfielder. He is versatile, he has this mentality and he can play, also.”
The Dutchman added: “If I had the opportunity to take him on loan again next season then I would do. It would be a nice position to be in.
“Loans are a good way of doing things because he would be expensive [to sign permanently].”
On-loan Ajax midfielder Eyong Enoh – another player attempting to recover full fitness – has also impressed Jol.
He said: “Enoh hasn’t featured for three or four months but it is good to have him around because he’s a very good player.
“He lacks a bit of match fitness, but he is better than before and I’m happy with him and Frimpong.”
