Martin Jol indicated that talks are under way to extend Pavel Pogrebnyak’s contract following the Russian’s blistering start at Fulham.
Pobregnyak scored hat-trick in the Whites’ 5-0 demolition of Wolves, taking his goal tally to five in three matches since his move to west London.
He arrived from Stuttgart on a deal until the end of the season and is already a cult hero among Fulham fans.
“After five goals in three games, I’d have to say he is a pretty good signing for us,” said Jol
“We’re talking to four or five players about new deals. You want to keep your best players and Pavel is certainly one of them.
“He’s a good lad. During the first training session he gave us a feeling that he really wanted to prove a point here.”
