Jokanovic eyeing strikers after McCormack’s move

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic says he is confident the club will soon bring in attacking players in the wake of Ross McCormack’s exit.

Striker McCormack, who scored 23 goals for the Whites last season, completed a move to Aston Villa on Thursday morning.

His departure follows that of Moussa Dembele, who scored 17 times last term and recently signed for Celtic.

“We lost 40 goals. It’s simple. We have to find a replacement for these players,” Jokanovic said.

“We have some names in our mind and I expect we will be successful in this.”

He added: “We are also looking for centre-backs and central midfielders. We need to sign people who can help us in these positions.

“In general, we need a bit more of a bigger squad because we have a lot of games in front of us.”

Fulham will begin their Championship campaign with a home match against relegated Newcastle on Friday evening.
