Jimenez penalty rescues point for Fulham
Fulham 2-2 Ipswich
Raul Jimenez’s penalty salvaged a point for Fulham in a dramatic draw at Craven Cottage.
Ipswich took the lead seven minutes before the break when Antonee Robinson headed against his own cross-bar, Calvin Bassey failed to clear his lines and Sammie Szmodics was on hand to fire Ipswich ahead.
Fulham came close to taking the lead when Jimenez tested Christian Walton with a powerful header in the first half.
Ipswich almost doubled their lead when Nathan Broadhead’s powerful effort was well saved by Bernd Leno.
Harry Wilson was brought down in the area in the 67th minute and after a VAR check, Fulham were awarded a penalty. Jimenez made no mistake and levelled the game from the spot.

Moments after Jack Clarke hit the post for the visitors, Fulham were awarded another penalty. Jimenez was on hand to score again and keep Fulham’s unbeaten run going, now stretching to eight games.
