Slavisa Jokanovic wants to sign Derby County striker Chris Martin before Wednesday’s transfer deadline.
Fulham head coach Jokanovic is keen to add at least one forward to his squad in the coming days following the summer departures of Ross McCormack and Moussa Dembele.
Jokanovic has been at odds with the Fulham hierarchy over the club’s transfer policy for some time, and he confirmed those tensions when recently speaking of his frustration at not having control over signings.
But the Serbian received a major boost this week when one of his main suggested transfer targets, Stefan Johansen, completed move to Craven Cottage from Celtic.
Martin is also among the players most wanted by Jokanovic and he is hoping the 27-year-old target man is brought in as well.
Martin has made 142 league appearances for Derby, scoring 53 times, and has featured in all five of their Championship matches this season.
He joined the East Midlands club from Norwich City in 2013, initially on loan.

You are having a laugh!!! Add another zero onto that and there might be a discussion!!!
I think 500k could get him, Derby need to sell to stay within the finance rules. Maybe put a cheeky bid for Will Hughes, 750k would get him.
