Stockdale features in Under-21 game

David Stockdale featured for Fulham as they beat West Ham 1-0 in the Under-21 Premier League.

The keeper atoned for a poor clearance by recovering to make a fine save from Frazer Shaw in the match at Fulham’s Motspur Park training ground, where the unfortunate Pelly Ruddock scored an own goal seven minutes before half-time.

A heavy deflection off Ruddock meant he diverted Lyle Della Verde’s shot past Raphael Spiegel.

Muamer Tankovic should have doubled the lead three minutes after the break but contrived to shoot over from three yards out.

Tankovic had another chance when through on goal but fired straight at keeper Spiegel, before Stockdale produced a good save to deny Elliot Lee.

The young Whites remain unbeaten in the league this season.
