Fulham are unsure when captain Brede Hangeland will be able to return to action.
Hangeland, 32, is struggling with a sciatic nerve problem which has kept him out of the Whites’ last three matches.
The Norway defender failed to recover in time for Saturday’s 4-0 defeat at Liverpool and has been ruled out of his country’s international match against Denmark this week.
And Fulham manager Martin Jol admitted: “It’s not easy with nerves. I don’t know how long he will be out.
“He tried but he said he couldn’t play [on Saturday] and he’s not going to be playing for his country either.”
Hangeland, whose form has been disappointing so far this season, was hampered by the injury during the recent 4-1 win at Crystal Palace and was substituted at half-time.
Since then Fulham have suffered three consecutive league defeats, conceding a total of nine goals – all but one of them coming in the first half of matches.
