Fulham defender Fernando Amorebieta has joined Championship promotion contenders Middlesbrough on loan for the rest of the season, with James Husband moving in the opposite direction.
Amorebieta has only just returned from a four-month injury lay-off and was sent off against AFC Bournemouth on his first and only Whites appearance since November.
Left-back Husband, 21, joins Fulham having played just six times for Middlesbrough this season, following his summer move from Doncaster Rovers.
Of his move to Craven Cottage, Husband said: “I’m here to finish off the season and help Fulham get as high up the table as we can.
“You look at the players in the squad and there’s Premier League talent in there, so I see no reason why we can’t go unbeaten until the end of the season.”
