Fulham snap up Boateng and Amorebieta
Fulham have signed midfielder Derek Boateng and defender Fernando Amorebieta on free transfers.
Ghana international Boateng joins from Ukrainian side Dnipro, having played against Fulham in the Uefa Europa League qualifiers last season.
The 30-year-old, who has signed a one-year deal, has also played club football in Greece, Israel, Germany, Spain and Ukraine.
Amorebieta arrives at Craven Cottage after eight seasons in La Liga with Athletic Bilbao, for whom he made more than 250 appearances.
The Venezuelan centre-back was part of the Spanish Under-19 squad that won the European title in 2004 and was also once called up to the Spain senior squad but failed to make an appearance.
He then switched his allegiance to his country of birth and made his Venezuela debut in September 2011 in a friendly with Argentina.
