Fulham snap up Australia striker Taggart

Fulham have announced the signing of Australia striker Adam Taggart.

The 21-year-old, who joins from A-League side Newcastle Jets for an undisclosed fee, has agreed a three-year contract.

He has scored three goals in seven appearances for Australia and has featured in the World Cup in Brazil against Netherlands and Spain.

Taggart started his senior career at Perth Glory in 2010 and spent two seasons at the Western Australian club.

He joined Newcastle Jets in 2012 and scored 18 times in 44 appearances. Sixteen of those goals came last season.
