Fulham are close to signing Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak from German club Stuttgart.
The 28-year-old, who has previously been linked with Arsenal, is having talks ahead of a pre-deadline move to Craven Cottage.
His expected arrival in west London will add to speculation that Fulham may offload Andrew Johnson.
Pogrebnyak joined Stuttgart in 2009 after a two-year spell with Russian side Zenit St Petersburg. He started his career at Spartak Moscow.
