Fulham set to seal signing of Mitrovic
Fulham and Newcastle have agreed a deal for Aleksandar Mitrović to move to Craven Cottage on a permanent basis.
West London Sport previously reported that the Whites were edging towards a deal to sign the striker despite reports elsewhere suggesting negotiations had stalled and Fulham were looking at alternative targets.
Mitrović, 23, is set to move for around £22m and has been given permission to leave Newcastle’s pre-season training camp in Portugal and return to England to finalise the transfer.
He played a key role in Fulham’s promotion to the Premier League last season, scoring 12 goals in 17 appearances after joining on loan from Newcastle in January.
He subsequently made it clear to the Magpies that he wanted to leave the club and sign for Fulham this summer.
