Fulham seal signing of Argentine Casasola

Fulham have signed Argentina Under-20 international defender Tiago Casasola from Boca Juniors on a three-contract for an undisclosed fee.

The 19-year-old defender had been linked with a move to numerous top-flight clubs around Europe, including Tottenham and Spanish side Barcelona.

Fulham manager Felix Magath told the club website: “He is a great talent and a player who can develop to play at Premier League and Champions League level.”

Casasola added: “It’s a great club and I’m very happy to be here. I know the club has great fans and I also know that it has a long history.”

Casasola’s contract also includes an option for a further 12 months.
