Slavisa Jokanovic admitted Fulham were punished for not being ruthless enough in front of goal after they slipped tamely out of the EFL Cup against Bristol City.
Cauley Woodrow had a penalty saved and Tammy Abraham bagged an injury-time winner for the visitors.
“It was probably the first time they shot that they scored a goal. In the first half we made many chances and we missed the penalty second half,” the Fulham boss said.
“To be honest they had in the end of the game very good chances. They scored in moments when we didn’t have time for any reaction.
“We have to be disappointed, because we didn’t win the game, but I made a team that I believe can do it and it was very close.
“We played some good football. But this is the trouble. You have to play first to last minute in all the games.”
