Fulham play-off hopes fading – Symons
Manager Kit Symons believes Fulham still have the quality to mount a promotion challenge despite slipping 15 points off the top six, but admits their chances are slim.
The Whites failed to build on Hugo Rodallega’s early opener in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Birmingham at Craven Cottage, and have now only won four of their last 10 Championship fixtures.
“The play-offs are an awful long way away,” Symons said. “And every time we drop points it gets that little bit further.
“But this team is capable of going on a run and that could get us closer to the play-offs.”
Symons, whose side face Bolton away on Tuesday, have already lost 14 league games this season.
And he felt Saturday’s home draw was a missed opportunity.
“We started very brightly but it was almost a case of scoring too soon,” Symons said. “It was a very good goal but we stepped back a little bit.
“In the second half we started a bit slow but then dominated. We are disappointed we have not won.”

How long does it take for the Fulham CEO and management team to recognise that this Fulham team requires significant investment. No investment in the transfer window, knocked out of the cup and we can’t win at home and haven’t beaten a top 10 team all season.
We remain in the doldrums.
We are now long overdue to fix this problem please. COYW.
