Fulham notched their third successive Championship victory in some style at Craven Cottage with a 4-0 win over London rivals Millwall. Here’s how we rated each Whites player.
Pulled off a good reaction save from a Matt Smith header early in the second half, but otherwise untested with Millwall having just 15% possession. Improvements still to be made with his distribution.
Another assured performance from the teen, who looked very comfortable bringing the ball out from the back and linking up with the midfield. Almost had a deflected cross creep in, only for it to bounce off the top of the bar, on what was his league debut in front of the home fans.
Only had three aerial duels to deal with against a physical forward line, which included former Fulham man Smith in the second half, but Mawson dealt with all of them confidently.
The American had the most touches of anyone on the pitch as the source of Fulham’s build-up play, but he also enjoyed a relatively quiet evening defensively.
Leads the league in successful tackles, adding another four to his tally this season. Showing some much-needed defensive solidity as he rediscovers the form that led to Fulham signing him from Bristol City last summer.
Didn’t need to replicate his impressive performances over the past few matches, with Fulham’s forwards keeping much of the ball, though he did give it away cheaply at times.
Though not involved in any of the goals on the night, the Norwegian captain’s contributions were instrumental in the Whites’ possession and build-up play, dragging players out wide and allowing Anthony Knockaert and Ivan Cavaleiro to dart into the channels and create opportunities.
Dictated play with only one of his 56 passes being misplaced and two of them being assists – including a sumptuous ball over the top that dropped perfectly at Ivan Cavaleiro’s feet mid-stride. Earned a well-deserved rest after 70 minutes, coming off to a standing ovation.
Star performance from the Portuguese with four dribbles, two goals and an assist, including another superb curling strike from the edge of the box. Also subbed off to a standing ovation from the Cottage faithful.
Another high-energy performance from the Frenchman, who flitted between the lines and linked up superbly with his two forwards. Opened his Fulham account with an instinctive header from close range, having read Cavaleiro’s pull-back excellently.
Gaining in confidence in front of goal again, having notched his third goal in as many games from the penalty spot after he was brought down. Risked being sent off for retaliating after a few skirmishes with Jake Cooper in the first half, but looks to be building quite a head of steam in the Championship as the kingpin of the Whites’ attacking trio.
Came on for Cairney with the game all but won and showed flashes of his technical ability.
Brought on in place of Arter to shield the defence, though there was no real threat to thwart on the night.
Tested the goalkeeper with a long-range drive and overhit a through-ball in the short time he had on the pitch, with the match already a foregone conclusion.
