Fulham hopeful Hangeland will sign deal
Fulham manager Martin Jol is hopeful captain Brede Hangeland will sign a new contract within the next fortnight.
Hangeland’s current deal expires in the summer and there has been speculation about the Norwegian defender’s future.
But Jol said: “He wants to stay here so that’s good, and we are talking, which is positive.
“We are talking to a few players at the moment and he is one of them and it’s about him now.
“There is no news, but hopefully [he will sign] in the next couple of weeks.”
