Fulham expect Sessegnon to stay, says Parker
Scott Parker says he expects Ryan Sessegnon to stay at Fulham.
Tottenham are looking to agree a deal to sign the teenager, who has a year remaining on his contract at Craven Cottage.
But Whites boss Parker says he expects Sessegnon to contribute to Fulham’s push for an immediate return to the Premier League after the player recovers from a hamstring injury.
Sessegnon, 19, limped off during England’s Under-21 European Championships defeat to Romania last month and has not featured in Fulham’s pre-season campaign.
“He’s rehabbing back to a point where he can feature,” said Parker, who started alongside Sessegnon when the Roehampton-born youngster made his Fulham debut aged 16. “We’ll try everything we can [to keep him].
“We’ll see what will happen from there but at this present time, with 10 days [of the transfer window] to go, he’s a Fulham player and we fully expect him to rehab back from his injury and play a big part.”
