Fulham have confirmed the signing of Genk midfielder Neeskens Kebano for an undisclosed fee.

The DR Congo international has signed a three-year contract, with the club retaining an option to extend it by 12 months.

It comes as a further boost to Whites head coach Slavisa Jokanovic, who has been at odds with the Fulham hierarchy over the club’s transfer policy and has made clear his frustration at not having control over signings.

French-born Kebano, 24, spent time at the illustrious Clairefontaine academy, and joined Paris St-Germain’s youth set-up in the summer of 2006, aged 14.

After winning numerous trophies during his time in PSG’s academy, he made his first-team debut in February 2011 and went on to appear in their Europa League campaign that season.

Kebano, who is named after former Dutch midfielder Johan Neeskens, spent a brief time on loan at Caen in 2012-13, and then joined Belgian outfit Charleroi on a permanent deal.

After scoring 22 goals from midfield over two seasons, he earned a move to Genk in the summer of 2015, and helped them to fifth in the Belgian league.

A French international from Under-17 to Under-20 level, he switched his allegiance to the Democratic Republic of Congo, making his debut in October 2014.

Fulham are also looking to tie up a deal to sign Norway midfielder Stefan Johansen from Celtic.
