Fulham confirm Mitroglou’s Benfica move

Fulham have confirmed that Kostas Mitroglou has joined Benfica on a permanent basis.

Mitroglou made a big-money move to Craven Cottage in January 2014 as Fulham were battling in vain against relegation from the Premier League.

The Greece striker, 28, made just one start for the Whites and three appearances in total.

He spent last season on loan at Benfica, having previously been loaned back to his previous club Olympiakos.
