Fulham boss Silva confirms Tete injury blow
Fulham boss Marco Silva has confirmed right-back Kenny Tete could be sidelined for longer than expected with a groin problem.
The Dutch defender has missed two matches after suffering the injury in the late stages of the 1-0 win over Luton last month.
It was hoped Tete would be fit to return straight after next week’s international break, but Silva has indicated that now looks unlikely.
“Kenny is taking more time that we thought with his groin, so let’s see. We will keep assessing him,” Silva said.
“It’s a week-by-week, day-by-day thing to see if he is getting better.
“Today he was doing injury recovery work with (performance manager) Bruno Mendes, so let’s see when he is back.”
Fulham are also still without Adama Traore and Tosin Adarabioyo, with the winger recovering from a hamstring problem and Tosin recuperating after groin surgery.
“Adama will be another three weeks but he will be back before Tosin,” Silva explained.
