Smith Rowe and Cairney battling to be fit for Fulham
Fulham are assessing Emile Smith Rowe and Tom Cairney ahead of Tuesday’s away match against Wolves.
Both players were substituted during the second half of Saturday’s 2-0 home defeat by Crystal Palace after picking up knocks.
But both appear to have a chance of featuring at Wolves, according to boss Marco Silva.
“We’re going to have another training session today and we’re going to assess the players when they start to arrive at the training ground,” Silva explained on Monday morning.
“After that, we have to take important decisions for the game tomorrow and right now it’s difficult to say who will be ready.
“The game is really close, so let’s see if they can be ready.”
Cairney has had plenty of injury woes in the past but Silva does not believe the popular club captain’s current problem is serious.
“It’s not a really serious type of injury. It’s something you can be quickly over or can take one or two more days, let’s see,” Silva said.

Silva will be looking for a positive response after a poor display by his side at the weekend.
Their home form is a concern – the Whites have now won just one of their past seven matches at Craven Cottage.
Speaking after Saturday’s game, Silva admitted: “It definitely was a performance below the standards, if I can say in this way.
“In these type of games, the other part of the game that is there, that ugly part, in terms of duels, in terms of individual challenges, we have to be there.
“But they scored two goals in two moments where reaching certain standards did not happen.”
