Fulham boss hopeful over Sidwell contract
Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen says he is hopeful the club will agree a new contract with midfielder Steve Sidwell.
In October the 31-year old was offered a one-year extension to his current deal, which expires at the end of the season.
But the former Chelsea and Aston Villa man rejected those terms because he wanted a two-year deal.
“I know that they’re still in talks, and it’s clear that Steve would love to stay here,” Meulensteen said.
“He’s doing very well here so I hope we come to a suitable solution.”
