Fulham manager Martin Jol bemoaned the decision not to award his team a late penalty against Manchester United.
The Whites appealed in vain for a spot-kick in the final minute of their 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford after Danny Murphy was brought down by Michael Carrick.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admitted that a penalty should have been given, and Jol said: “I think everyone in the stadium expected a penalty.
“You have to be brave to give a penalty away at United. No one in the stadium could say that Danny Murphy dived.”
The Dutchman added: “I thought we did well because we stuck to our plan and we should have had a draw in the end.”

Why no mention of the penalty United should have had for handball, just before the goal came?
It is so typical to see only the mistakes made that benefit United, not the ones that go against.
It should have been 2 penalties, - one to each team. How about that Jol?
