Dominic Solanke took his goal tally for the season to 38 as Chelsea’s youngsters beat Fulham 3-1 to keep alive their hopes of winning the Under-21 Premier League.
The win at Fulham’s Motspur Park training ground took the young Blues up to third in the table – three points behind leaders Manchester United with four matches remaining.
Solanke [pictured] fired home after being set up by Fikayo Tomori and then made it 2-0 after being found by Kasey Palmer’s low cross.
Adam Taggart pulled a goal back just before half-time, scoring at the far post following Jordan Evans’ cross.
But Charly Musonda restored Chelsea’s two-goal advantage with a superb free-kick 12 minutes into the second half.
The visitors almost netted a fourth, with keeper Magnus Norman denying Solanke a hat-trick before Musonda’s drive smashed against the post.
