Symons believes he has Khan’s support
Fulham boss Kit Symons admitted his side were fortunate to get a point against Leeds but said he remains confident he has Shahid Khan’s support.
Club owner Khan was at the match at Craven Cottage, where Symons was booed by frustrated fans after the 1-1 draw.
Moussa Dembele put the Whites ahead before Chris Wood equalised with a second-half penalty and on-loan keeper Joe Lewis produced vital saves to prevent Leeds going ahead.
“It was a disappointing performance. On Saturday, I was pleased with our performance in getting a point at Middlesbrough but it was different tonight,” Symons said.
“We were probably fortunate to get the point tonight. Leeds created more chances.
“From start to finish our passing was way off. We’d break with the ball and give it straight back to them. There were too many loose passes.
“We didn’t get going at all. Joe was excellent and thanks to him we got the point. He nearly saved the penalty too.”
Symons’ side have won only one of their last six league matches and there has been speculation that Khan could install a new manager.
But Symons said: “He’s been very supportive and I’m sure that will continue. We speak all the time.
“He wants us to kick on and get the club to where we feel we should be. He’s frustrated and disappointed like the rest of us.”

Having the owners support is great but you also need the support of the paying public
