Manager Kit Symons insisted Fulham have no intention of selling Ross McCormack after the forward produced another excellent display in the win over Sheffield Wednesday.
McCormack curled home a free-kick – his sixth goal of the season – as the Whites thrashed the Yorkshire side 4-0.
There has been speculation that the former Leeds man could be a target for other clubs when the transfer window opens next month.
But Symons said: “There’s nothing from this club about selling Ross and nor do we want to.
“Stories will be written, with speculation about players, probably because they’re playing well, but the chairman is supportive of doing the right things for the club – which is keeping your best players.
“We love him as a lad and as a player and we’re delighted to have him here. He was very good again today.
“He’s not scored as many goals as he might have liked this season but his input to the team has been excellent and there’s certainly no pressure from me on him to score more.
“I want the team playing well and winning and what his part is in that I don’t mind. He’s been a really important part of our improvement in form.”
McCormack opened the scoring before Shaun Hutchinson, Lasse Vigen Christensen and substitute Cauley Woodrow added the rest, moving Fulham above Wednesday into 13th place.
Symons added: “I’m very pleased with the performance and result. We’re are starting games better and our defending is improving.”
