Jokanovic bemoans Fulham’s weak ‘personality’
Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic bemoaned a lack of fight in his team after they were beaten at home by Middlesbrough.
The Whites lost 2-0, conceding both goals inside 20 minutes, and showed few signs of recovery in what was a seventh home defeat in the Championship this season.
“We didn’t have the power to recuperate ourselves,” Jokanovic said. “We don’t have the personality to change our situation during the game.
“If we start with a problem, we don’t show quality personality or desire to change it.
“It’s like everything is done, but it’s not done. We need to fight from the first to the last minute to win the game.
“We were weak in the defensive line and we allowed them to make chances by slicing and missing simple challenges.
“It’s not a question of tactics. If you’re making these kind of unnecessary mistakes then you will lose the game.”
Fulham finished the match with 10 men after Richard Stearman was shown a straight red card for fouling Jordan Rhodes in the 85th minute.
But Jokanovic defended Stearman, and said: “It’s not about us asking for an apology, it’s about being a man and putting everything into the pitch and the training.
“We are a depressive place and I need to lift their heads to continue to push and try and win some points.
“After if you lose, it’s important to stand up and try and fix the problem and try positive things.”

We need major investment on the field and I mean major. We must have the worst home record in the division. We are in a relegation fight. Mr Khan, the time to act is now Lets get some pre agreements in place in the transfer market. There is every chance we will waste another year at best. Get the sleeping beauties off your Board
