Fulham and Cardiff fans on Twitter react to swap deal
Fulham and Cardiff fans on Twitter have given a mixed reaction to the swap deal involving Jazz Richards and Scott Malone, which was completed on Tuesday.
The Whites signed Malone on a two-year contract while allowing Wales full-back Richards to move in the other direction.
Both sets of fans thought they emerged with the better deal – and despite being a former Swansea player, Cardiff supporters welcomed Richards’ arrival almost as gleefully as they waved farewell to Malone.
Jazz Richards in & Scott Malone out, brilliant bit of business Trollope!👍 #bluebirds

I’m way too happy Scott Malone has left Cardiff, worst excuse for a footballer ever

Some Fulham fans, meanwhile, were dubious about Malone’s signing, but almost universally happy to see Richards leave.
So glad to see the back of Richards, he was shocking. Malone can’t really be as bad, can he? #ffc #ccfc

Underwhelmed with the Malone signing but amused by the Cardiff fans who think Jazz Richards is their defensive saviour!

Other Whites fans were more optimistic about the deal, particularly after being reminded of Malone’s strike against QPR last season.
Malone has scored more goals vs QPR than against any other club. Welcome home, Scott.
