McCormack completes move to Aston Villa
Aston Villa have completed the signing of Ross McCormack from Fulham.
Villa say they have paid £12m for the 29-year-old striker, who has signed a four-year contract.
A number of other Championship clubs showed an interest in McCormack and Norwich City recently had a bid for him rejected.
But Fulham confirmed on Wednesday morning that an offer had been accepted from Villa.
McCormack has made 100 appearances since a big-money move to Craven Cottage from Leeds United two years ago.
He scored 23 goals last season and netted 42 for Fulham in total.
“I’m delighted to bring Ross on board. He’s a player with proven track record and plenty of experience in the division,” said former Chelsea man Roberto Di Matteo, who took over as Villa manager this summer.
“He is a player whose goalscoring record has been excellent everywhere he has been and we feel he can be an important addition.”
