Transfer gossip: Fulham among clubs linked with Pools youngster
Some of the latest transfer speculation involving the area’s clubs…
The Hartlepool Mail reckon Fulham are among Premier League clubs interested in Hartlepool United youngster Luca Murphy.
Wolves and West Ham are also said to have been eyeing the 17-year-old defender this season.
According to the Hartlepool Mail, Fulham have scouted Murphy and “are ready to offer a six-figure sum” for him.
It is claimed that Fulham want the player to train with them ahead of a possible move.
Chelsea again linked with Wilson
Chelsea have again been linked with Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson.
The Express claim Blues boss Maurizio Sarri wants to sign the Cherries striker when the transfer window reopens next month.
The newspaper claim the Blues are confident they will agree a £30m deal to take the England international to Stamford Bridge.
Arsenal offered Suarez – Independent
The Independent reports that Arsenal have been offered Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez, who is supposedly wanted by Chelsea.
Reports have claimed that Chelsea are keen to sign the former Manchester City youngster in January.
West London Sport, on the other hand, have reported that Chelsea, who have a wealth of midfield options, have shown no real interest in the player.
He is being linked with a move because he is keen to return to England and his representatives have been touting him to clubs and trying to drum up interest in him.
And The Independent now reports that Suarez has been offered to Arsenal and that, while reports in Spain have claimed Chelsea are chasing him, both London clubs have simply been offered a potential deal to sign Suarez by his representatives.
Suarez, who played under Arsenal boss Unai Emery while on loan at Sevilla, would apparently be available for £14m.
Reports in Spain are now suggesting he could be a replacement for Aaron Ramsey at the Emirates Stadium, having previously claimed he could replace Cesc Fabregas at Chelsea.
Speculation continues over Loftus-Cheek
There continues to be speculation over the future of Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The Sun claim West Ham and Bournemouth “will go head-to-head” in a battle to sign the Chelsea midfielder on loan.
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has made it clear that he would like to take him back to Selhurst Park, where he spent last season on loan.
Loftus-Cheek has been overlooked by Maurizio Sarri for much of the season so far, prompting the speculation that he could leave on loan again.
However, his first-team involvement has increased in recent weeks and Blues boss Sarri has said there is ‘no chance’ he will be loaned out.
Mirror still touting Pulisic for move
The Mirror continue to link Christian Pulisic with a potential January move to Chelsea.
Reports recently claimed that Chelsea were set to agree a deal to sign the American midfielder from Borussia Dortmund.
The German club’s chief executive Michael Zorc denied this, insisting that Pulisic, whose contract expires in 2020, would be staying put until at least the end of the season.
But the Mirror have continued to suggest that a January deal is on the cards – and now say Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United have been told that Pulisic will be available then if the price is right.
Liverpool and United have also been linked with Pulisic, who is keen to move to England.
