Fulham youngster Steven Sessegnon has signed a new deal, the club have confirmed.
Sessegnon has made two appearances for the Whites this season and his previous deal – his first professional contract, which he signed last year – was due to expire in 2020. He is now under contract until 2022.
The 18-year-old twin brother of Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon has impressed new manager Claudio Ranieri, who included him in the first-team squad for the recent trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.
Right-back Sessegnon has been earmarked for a loan move, although he could feature for Fulham in the FA Cup against Oldham on January 6.
That would give him an opportunity to stake a claim for a place in what has been a problem position for Fulham this season.
The club are assessing potential options for next month’s transfer window, with the likes of Cyrus Christie and Timothy Fosu-Mensah having failed to impress.
