The transfer stories in Sunday’s newspapers involving the area’s clubs…
There continues to be speculation over the future of Ryan Sessegnon.
Tottenham have long been strongly interested in the Fulham youngster, who has been linked with other top clubs.
Now The Sun on Sunday say Sessegnon, 18, could see out the final year of his Whites contract and then join German club Borussia Dortmund, who supposedly want him.
Losing Sessegnon at the end of his contract would mean Fulham would be due a compensation payment rather than a standard transfer fee.
Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic could move to the Chinese Super League, it is claimed.
The Sunday Express say Mitrovic is being offered £300,000 a week to move to the Far East and that Guangzhou Evergrande are leading a chase to sign him.
Chelsea are yet again being linked with Robert Lewandowski.
The Sunday Mirror claim the Blues have made contact with the representatives of Bayern Munich striker Lewandowski, 30, and Borussia Dortmund forward Alexander Isak, 19.
Poland star Lewandowski has been linked with Chelsea during successive transfer windows, while Sweden international Isak has been touted for a move to the Premier League after impressing in Germany.
There also continues to be speculation over the future of Eden Hazard amid reports he could leave Chelsea for Real Madrid.
Spanish newspaper Marca again claimed this week – as it has on a number of occasions in the last year or so – that a deal had been agreed for Hazard to move to Real.
The Independent on Sunday say Real want to pay around £85m for Hazard but that Chelsea are holding out for a £100m bid.
Several newspapers are reporting that Olivier Giroud could stay at Chelsea beyond the end of the season.
It is based on head coach Maurizio Sarri suggesting that he wants the club to take up an option to extend the Frenchman’s contract when his current deal expires this summer.
Sarri said: “Yes, of course I want him to stay. I know the club have an option with him for another season, so I think he will remain.”
