Robinson likely to miss Forest game – Silva

Antonee Robinson is a doubt for Fulham’s trip to Nottingham Forest on Friday because of an ankle problem.

The left-back suffered the injury in the 2-1 defeat by Tottenham.

Boss Marco Silva says the injury is not serious but that Robinson is unlikely to be available at the City Ground.

“It will be difficult, I have to be honest,” Silva said.

“We still have some hours until the game and we have to check him, like we are doing every single day, and we have to take the decision.”

Robinson’s absence could hand Layvin Kurzawa a first start for Fulham, having signed from Paris St-Germain at the end of the transfer window.

Long-term absentees Harry Wilson and Manor Solomon also remain out, though Wilson has returned to some individual training having missed the entire season so far with a knee injury.

But Silva, while hoping he returns before the break for the World Cup, admits Wilson still has some way to go in his recovery.

“He’s still far (from returning),” Silva said.

“We hope we will have good news soon, but it’s still far.

“He’s much more involved and it’s good to see him on the (training) pitch already, but he’s just doing individual work, not many things on the ball, and he needs more time.”
