Parker insists Arter should not have been sent off
Scott Parker insisted Harry Arter should not have been sent off in Fulham’s 1-1 draw at Cardiff.
Arter, who spent last season on loan with the Welsh club and was booed by their fans throughout the game, was dismissed midway through the second half.
Fulham were on top, having equalised through Aleksandar Mitrovic’s goal just before the interval – the striker’s close-range finish cancelled out Josh Murphy’s opener.
Arter picked up two yellow cards in as many minutes. The midfielder was booked for a foul on Joe Ralls and was then adjudged to have dived under a challenge from Sean Morrison.
“The question that needs to be asked is ‘did he (Morrison) make contact with him?’ and he did,” Whites boss Parker said.
“Ultimately, did he get contact? I’ve seen it twice and have heard what people are saying – everyone is of the view that he got touched.”

The ref and assistant were mediocre and Arter clearly got into their heads as did the home crowd. Yet again no sense of the spirit of the game and a pathetic decision.
