Rui Fonte and Ryan Sessegnon both scored twice as Fulham recorded their biggest league win for more than six years.
The Whites went in front on 18 minutes when Oliver Norwood sent Lucas Piazon clear and he squared for Fonte to tap in.
Piazon himself doubled the lead, curling in from inside the box after latching on to Ryan Fredericks’ low cross.
And it was 3-0 before the break as Fonte nodded down before bundling in from close range.
The Whites then scored three more times in the final 18 minutes to match the 6-0 win over QPR in October 2011.
Sessegnon profited from blocked shots inside the box for both the fourth and fifth goals before Aboubakar Kamara chipped the goalkeeper to round off the victory.
