Hull City 6 Fulham 0
Fulham were humiliated at the KC Stadium, where all six goals were scored in the second half.
Robert Koren netted twice for Hull and there were also goals for Ahmed Elmohamady, George Boyd, Tom Huddlestone and Matty Fryatt.
The result is a huge blow for the Whites, who have been much improved since Rene Meuelensteen’s appointment as boss and headed north in bouyant mood after winning at Norwich on Boxing Day.
Elmohamady started the rout by firing into the top corner of the net after Huddlestone’s corner had only been half-cleared by Bryan Ruiz.
Whites keeper David Stockdale, who had a loan spell at Hull, produced a number of stops in the first half but was unable to save his side from a hammering once the Tigers had broken the deadlock.
Koren made it 2-0 after being set up by Yannick Sagbo, and Boyd then scored from the edge of the penalty area after collecting Jake Livermore’s pass.
Huddlestone thumped in from 25 yards – his first goal since April 2011 – and when the former Tottenham man’s 74th-minute free-kick was tipped onto the bar by Stockdale, Fryatt tucked away the loose ball to make it five.
The sixth came following another save from Stockdale, who denied Danny Graham only for Koren to poke the rebound into an empty net.
Fulham: Stockdale, Zverotic, Hughes, Amorebieta, Riise, Dejagah (Bent 64), Sidwell, Karagounis (Richardson 74), Kasami, Ruiz (Kacaniklic 61), Rodallega.
