Centre-back Dan Burn is targeting the play-offs with Fulham after extending his contract at the club for another year.
The 22-year-old only made his first-team debut in the FA Cup third-round tie with Norwich last January, but has gone on to make 29 appearances, scoring twice.
His current deal was due to expire in the summer but he will now be at Craven Cottage until June 2016.
Burn has had to settle for a place on the bench of late, with Nikolay Bodurov and Shaun Hutchinson in good form at the heart of the defence as the Whites have won six of their last 11 league games.
The defender said: “I am here for another year and I am very happy about it. The club is going in the right direction.
“We’re playing well, we look solid as a team and we’re scoring goals. Hopefully it will continue and we can push towards the play-offs.
“The good thing now is that we have strong competition for places in every position. It makes training that little bit more intense because everyone’s trying to show their worth.
“Obviously it’s hard because you want to play every game but you just have to keep working hard, keep morale up and be ready for the chance when it comes.”
Burn joined the Whites in the summer of 2011 from Conference side Darlington and has had loan spells at Yeovil and Birmingham.
