Piazon hints at Fulham loan extension

Lucas Piazon has indicated that Fulham and Chelsea are close to an agreement for him to remain on loan at Craven Cottage for the rest of the season.

Piazon has scored four goals in 19 appearances since joining on a six-month loan in the summer.

Asked by a fan on Twitter about a potential new loan deal, Piazon replied: “Almost done mate. Hoping to be done asap.”

Fulham are hoping to strengthen their squad this month but are set to miss out on Middlesbrough striker David Nugent, who is close to joining Derby County.

They are in talks with Standard Liege to sign midfielder Ibrahima Cisse, however, and want to sign another centre-back.
