Blow for Fulham as Garbutt is ruled out
New Fulham signing Luke Garbutt faces six weeks out with an ankle injury.
The 22-year-old, on loan from Everton, has suffered ligament damage in his left ankle.
It means he could miss the Whites’ first seven league games as well as the Capital One Cup tie at Wycombe next Tuesday.
The England Under-21 international joined Fulham on a season-long loan deal less than two weeks ago.
He played 70 minutes of the friendly with Crystal Palace on Saturday before being replaced by Kay Voser, who along with Sean Kavanagh will be in contention to replace Garbutt for the Championship opener at Cardiff this weekend.
The latest on my injury is disappointing I'm out for 6 weeks, I will do everything to get back on the pitch as soon as possible! #gutted
