Manager Felix Magath says Fulham can still avoid relegation if they win their all-important home matches.
The Whites remain bottom of the Premier League after a 5-0 hammering at Manchester City, where they were totally outplayed.
But a defiant Magath insisted: “No-one expected we would win at City. We have to win our home games – that is the most important work we have to do.
“We start next week against Everton. Win at home and we are able to avoid relegation.”
Magath’s team made a determined start at the Etihad Stadium but never looked like recovering after Yaya Toure, who scored a hat-trick, netted the opening goal from the penalty spot.
“The team does not seem to believe we can win after [conceding] the first goal,” Magath admitted.
“Until the first penalty we were in the game. It changed the whole atmosphere. The players didn’t have the confidence to change the situation.”
