Wigan v QPR player ratings

QPR are still waiting for their first league win of the season following a 2-2 draw against Wigan. Here’s how we rated the players on another disappointing day for the R’s.

Rob Green: 8
Continued his improved form by producing a number of good saves, the best of which – an injury-time stop to deny Jordi Gomez – ensured Rangers got a point.

Jose Bosingwa: 5
Poor from start to finish. Slack defensively and offered very little going forward.

Ryan Nelsen: 7
A couple of mistakes in the first half but was otherwise very good and his first goal for the club dug Rangers out of a hole.

Clint Hill: 7
Lion-hearted defender who battled bravely throughout as usual.

Armand Traore: 6
Lively going forward at times but caught out defensively too often.

Stephane Mbia: 6
Did well in the first half but faded badly in the second, with Rangers losing control of the midfield battle.

Shaun Wright-Phillips: 6
Set up Rangers’ second goal but was mostly ineffective. Tracked back well during a difficult spell in the second half though.

Shaun Derry: 5
Did his best but Wigan were able to play around him too easily during the second half.

Samba Diakite: 5
Like Mbia, seemed to run out of ideas as the game wore on. Substituted 12 minutes from the end.

Adel Taarabt: 7
Showed a willingness to work and at least try to make things happen. Had a bright spell early on.

Jamie Mackie: 6
Worked hard to ensure Rangers had something at least resembling a cutting edge.

Djibril Cisse: 7
Scored after coming on and gave his team what should have been a platform to win the game. A shame they then switched off at the other end.
