WBA v Fulham player ratings

Fulham ended their alarming recent run in style, beating West Brom 2-1. Here’s how we rated the players in their victory at The Hawthorns.

David Stockdale: 7
Responded well to his recent nightmare display against Swansea. Was much more assured.

Sascha Riether: 6
Caught out a couple of times, which was unusual for him. Generally solid though.

Brede Hangeland: 6
Caused problems by Romelu Lukaku in the air but played his part in a competent defensive display by the team.

Aaron Hughes: 6
Given the runaround by Lukaku at times but did save Fulham by heading away Chris Brunt’s goal-bound shot.

Matthew Briggs: 7
Showed his potential with a good display. Defensively sound and got forward well.

Ashkan Dejagah: 8
Had a fine game on the flank. Troubled Albion and did brilliantly to set up the opening goal for Dimitar Berbatov.

Giorgos Karagounis: 7
Did well in midfield. Is proving to be an astute signing.

Steve Sidwell: 7
Impressive, not least when setting up a first-half chance for Berbatov and also when thwarting Lukaku with a fine last-ditch challenge.

Alex Kacaniklic: 7
Put in a mature performance and took his goal nicely.

Dimitar Berbatov: 7
Missed a great chance in the first half but atoned with another goal and a slick all-round display. Constantly brought others into the game as well causing Albion problems in his own right.

Bryan Ruiz: 8
A superb assist for Kacaniklic’s winner and was classy throughout. Has made a huge difference since returning from injury.
